The Holley carb continued.

So I have a Holley street Advenger, and since someone who didn't really understand it (even less than I know) installed this carb I have been fixing it.  First was to install the correct spring and holder to make the transmission kickdown linkage work.  And then adjust the carb so it would open fully when I pushed the gas peddle  down.  Something that might be good going up a big hill.

I have been cleaning up some of the emission hoses that were in the way.  Now the last part is the clip to hold the kickdown rod on the carb.  And I picked that up today.  Maybe this week before Christmas I just might take it for a drive and see how it works.

Have a Holley jolly Christmas.

Today was a trip to the Oregon State Capitol for one of our nephews school chior programs.
And the tree looked great again this year.

And for the Holley carb in Smokey, I have been getting an education.  What I thought was a model 4180 turned out to be a replacement carb called an Advenger 670.  Kind of an upgrade but this explaines why the throttle cable was not quite right when I got it.
This is what I have.  And with some more knowledge I just might get things working better.
