Winnebago Intent 26M keyless door lock

So I decided to give the RVlock company entry door lock a try.  So far so good.  Install was what others have said.  Enlarge bottom of the old door lock opening until the new lock fits in and follow the instructions.

I would say it’s a 10 minute install.  That’s 10 minutes of watching the videos,  10 minutes of removing the old lock, 10 minutes of enlarging the lock opening, 10 minutes of bolting the new lock in and finally 10 minutes of adjusting and lubricant.

After 619 nights in our new RV, it’s time to start blogging again.

I got my new keyless entry lock.

Coming soon , the 10 minute install.  I hope.

Welcome our new RV

Since my wife and I started RV’ing with Wilbur we fell in love with the short length of Wilbur.  And we did enjoy the room in Smokey,  but the ideal length was something between the 22’ and 31’.
So now we settled on a 26’ Winnebago Intent.

So long Smokey

It looks like we have spent our last night in Smokey.
Now Smokey was our largest RV, and for a low budget motor home, we enjoyed many outings.
Now that we sold Smokey to some of our friends, we will probably still see him from time to time .
Now Wilbur will be put back into service.  It's been awhile but we have been spending some time time tuning up and moving back into 22' of RV.
Time will tell what we decide to use or buy.

Kendal at the Coast

Our first vacation with our new granddaughter.

My granddaughter

The wait is over.   Kendal was born and is doing great.   Grandma has been busy holding as much as she can.

I wonder what she will think of a Winnebago.

Another free bago

I was told about this one and went to look.  Even for free it's no great deal.
It's on Craigslist in mount angel Oregon.

Casino camping on the coast

We thought we would spend a couple of nights in Lincoln city Oregon at the chinook Winds casino.  But we found out that they have changed the rules for dry camping.

That's the brakes

The brake booster and evidently the master cylinder have been leaking.  The booster uses ATF which is red, and the brake fluid is clear so, it was hard to tell that the brake fluid was leaking until the booster was changed.

I'm back

Can you believe it's been almost a year since my last post.
I know I haven't posted anything for awhile but I am still alive and working on stuff.   For the past few weeks it's been a new brake booster for Smokey.  And now I am removing and replacing exhaust manifold bolts.

My new Soul

I finally decided on a replacement for my Subaru that I have been using and towing behind my motorhome for a few years.
It was a long job to find just the right car. One that could be towed and cheap enough.  So welcome my new Soul.
It took me a while to figure out the color but it does match the motorhome.
Now for towing.
Then with it hooked up.
And now for a trailer hitch.
A Curtis hitch.
Now I can haul extra stuff outside.

Hoodstock 2015

The third weekend of April brings out the blossoms on the fruit trees in the Hood River orchards and the Classic Winnebagos.  This year the weather was picture perfect.  We meet at the Hood River County Fairgrounds when the weather is dry and our wet weather spot is in The Dalles at the Eagles Lodge.

Five RV's circled a light pole in the mowed field.  We had our own private area and the RV's blocked wind and sun..

Sophie and I were left all alone Sunday night.  Everyone else had places to be and things to do.
Our new tow car was a big hit.  Several test drives were given and even though mail boxes were jumping out in front of the car, and 6 speed tranny's were new to some people, the car survived.  I think I will limit the test drive program for future outings.

After everyone left us Sunday we had a quiet night and drove to Kahneeta.  That is an Indian resort on the warm springs Indian reservation.  They have great warm swimming pools.

After 2 days and one night of soaking in the hot water, Tuesday we headed into the town of Madras.
We stay at the Elks Lodge there.  Wednesday after spending the night and looking around Madras we drove into Bend.  Another Elks Lodge to stay at.  This time we stay 2 nights.
Our next door neighbor from home is spending the week close by and meets up with us on Wednesday and Thursday to look around town.

October 2014 - March 2015

We spent a few days in the Portland area in October and in November we did a trip to Eugene OR for what we call our anniversary trip celebrating the first trip with Smokey.
December was a month in Tigard staying at the Eagles lodge dealing with family.
In January we spent time in Newport. Beautiful day's at the beach help us heal.
In February we did a Eugene, Florence and Newport trip.
March we drove to The Dalles OR for a few days.  It was a time to get away from home.

It has been awhile since my last post but a lot has happened.
My granddaughter did not survive very long.

Sophie's birthday outing in Lincoln city.

We stayed four nights at the chinook winds casino after Sophie's birthday.  The plan was to spend a couple of nights at camp WI-NE-MA but we had such a good place at the casino we just stayed there.
We could watch the sun set through our dirty window.

Whidbey island part II

Since I am behind in my blogging I will post that we stopped at the tulalip casino for a couple of nights on our way home.  It was real quite and we enjoyed visiting with other RV'ers.
We enjoyed the Boeing tour or the everett plant. We even stopped by Jeff's place.
We checked out some new old RV's at the everett Winnebago dealer.
A week on Whidbey island was fun.

Whidbey Island two week trip Part 1

I guess I better get started on this post since we have been home for a couple of weeks now.   And this will be a few different posts because of the length of the outing.
We started at the Puyallup WA elks.  It's a nice one day drive and then moved the next day to Poulsbo RV in Kent WA for Friday through Sunday.   The dealership is managed by Scott.  He took us out for dinner Friday night and provided b'fast lunch and supper Saturday.  Sunday morning was coffee and muffins before we left.  You can see Smokey the second from the right.  Jeff and John are on the left side.
There were games to play after closing in the showroom.   Sophie one a gift card to  Red Robin in a hot bingo game.

On Sunday we headed to Whidbey Island where we parked at the Elks lodge.
We have been to this Island before but never stayed.   Wilbur's main gas tank came from here many years ago and we did stop by the mans house to thank him again for the tank.
Our favorite beach was close by.

And in the deception pass area we enjoyed some hikes.

ABBA and the coast.

We enjoyed ABBA music years ago so we relived the " good old days " with a concert at the casino in Lincoln city oregon. And after dry camping for three days seeing the town we headed north a few miles to one if our favorite places camp WI NE MA.  A couple of days here always seems perfect.
When we came home I did some Subaru repair.   New valve cover gaskets. Venice and easy.
They cleaned up good and hopefully I won't be marking my parking spots anymore.
