Winnebago site sort of working

Today my '73 Winnebago Indian (Wilbur) is being used by the Boy Scout Troop I belong to as an office for our Christmas tree recycling. Wilbur, as everyone knows him, is always a hit with the adults who enjoy setting down in a heated place. My web page at http://the-handier-man.com/ is comming along OK. I had hoped it would be farther along by now but have had lots to learn to get this far. My plan off earning enough money with ads on my web page might work if I get everything set up once. The year is almost over so time to start those plans of what to do next year.

Take your daughter to work day

My daughter who is home from college for Christmas break helped me yesterday. We replaced a gutter on one of our rental houses and then replaced the rest of the blocks on the dumpster wall at the Burger King. Now if the weather gets warm enough to paint the new blocks it will be done.

Back to work

What happens to a concrete block wall when a semi truck backs into it? No big mystery but several blocks were broke. This is a wall around the dumpsters at a Burger King in Albany Oregon. They were 16" X 8" X 8" split blocks. 10 new blocks and a bag of motar were $26.00. Replaced 4 blocks today and let it set up. Maybe tommorrow will finish the blocks, then a few days later (next year) I will paint.

The Day after Christmas

So I took yesterday off from this Blog but not from my Web work. My plan is to have my home page up and running with pages for my 1966 and 1973 Winnebagos by the end of 2006. I have used 1&1 for my web hosting and have used Nvu for an HTML editor. Boy has this been an experience. Kind of 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks, Les

Christmas Eve

Tonights the night, Santa must be on duty now. We just had another family party at our house tonight. With my little one 18 years old and only home for the holidays it sure is nice when everyone leaves. Right now I am home alone and really like it. I have started my web site at http://the-handier-man.com/ . All this work on a Blog and web site has taken longer than planned but hey I am a contractor and understand delays. Even the delays that are planned for sometimes last forever. Oh well there is nothing that can't wait untill another day, Les

I'm still working on this

OK so I signed up at 1&1 for web hosting. Now all I need to do is get a web page I like and then publish it. Sounds easy right? Let's just see how long it takes old Les to get this figured out. Hope it doesn't take too long, Les

What to Blog about?

The topics I would like to cover would be what I like doing. These would be Classic Winnebago motor homes, how I bought, repair and enjoy my '73 Winnebago Indian. Then of course there is what I have done for a living the last several years to pay the bills, Being a Handyman. The great state of Oregon is where I call home. We have the some of the best-kept secrets for camping and sight seeing there ever was.

Today is the start

After reading other's blogs and thinking of starting my own, here I am. Please let me know if you see problems or have ideas of what I should do here. This will be something to work on over Christmas vacation.
