I fixed my Onan

For those who have ever fixed anything knows, the first thought is that more is wrong than really is.  So when my Onan Genset ran out of gas I thought fuel pump or carb.  So I bought a new see thru filter to start but when I went to change it the fuel line was loose.  It didn't seal up good so air was sucked in not the gas.  So some gas line and a new filter and all was good.

The Dalles Oregon.

If you ever want a town without an RV park just stop here.  The Elks have a small lodge close to the train tracks that has a faucet to get water,  and the Port of the dalles has a great dump station, but there is only the Eagles lodge that has real hook ups.  So we stayed at the Home Depot the first night and probably Kmart tonight.

I want to paint something

I have been looking into repainting the lower part of Smokey.  There are some thoughts of repainting the wagon once I fix the rusted out holes.  And then I could paint the wagon to match Smokey.  Just thinking.....

We really like the coast when it's sunny

Yesterday we drove to Lincoln City and parked at the Casino for the night.  It was such a nice day even if it was windy.
From our Casino parking.
We walked over to the edge of the lot for this view.

Then today we drove into the Newport Elks.  We are the only RV's here.  And we really like it here.  We get cable TV, 80 channels or so, and WIFI, water, elect.  Even a view of the bridge and out to the ocean.
The crowd at the Elks in Newport.

Then for a treat we bought a new TV for Smokey.  Fred Meyer who has a discount on the first Tuesday for those 55+ has a good deal on a 32" Samsung so that's what we got.  And with cable TV we now have great TV in the bedroom and front room.
And it looks like the oil leak by the oil filter on the engine has been fixed.  No leaks under the engine when parking overnight.

Vintage Winnebago tours

Have you ever thought of taking a Classic Winnebago on vacation???  Of course some of you already own a classic but for those who have never taken a drive down the road in the comfort of a green shag machine here is your chance.
I was taking Wilbur out for a drive today when my young neighbor kid (probably 7 years old) came up to me and said he didn't understand why I have 2 of those?  He was talking about my RV's.
So after taking a drive around town in Wilbur I thought what if I was selling it and someone said they didn't like something.  Well that would be their last time they looked at Wilbur because I would tell them this is not for you.  So because I am just taking Wilbur out for drives and not using him like he should be used I had an idea.  What if others would use him.  So what do you think?  Anyone interested in a trip to the coast or mountains in a classic??
We took some things out of Wilbur.

And they went into Smokey.
A whole box of food and stuff was removed from Wilbur.  And it was kind of sad to see.

And did you know I am still getting lighter.  Down 54.4 pounds.  I am getting there.
